SO! I have a shiny third character who I have been wanting forever, one of my canons just ended, and all around every thread I have had lately is PURE GOLD. Also I haven't done this in at least a month!!

Blahblah it works by you asking me questions and then I ask you questions back and we keep going until we fail out for whatever reason.

Luke's opinion of Dera vs Devin?

He doesn't know Dera and Devin are doing better now! But if he did he would be SUPER RELIEVED as it's been a fairly large stressball for him. Both because he doesn't want Devin to die and because he doesn't want Dera to kill. And maybe because it means that his advice was helpful so he was not worthless for a little bit.

But since he doesn't know that he just sort of things it's a sad cluster fuck. You are both really good people but you can't see it! He isn't actually mad at Dera for being mad at Dev anymore, because Dev's attitude kind of tested Luke's patience too and he understands Dera has a much harder time with anger. But the whole thing is just SO STUPID o9"!! And even if Luke hasn't actually conceptualized it he does have a ~sense~ of the fact that Peridot and Ruby could be great allies if they ever stopped being enemies, and Dera and Devin are pretty vital to how things turn out.

DERA'S OPINION ON DERA VS DEVIN =3

Okay so, up until recently he just wanted Devin to GO AWAY FOREVER and was of the mind that killing him would get that end, so it was cool!

The turning point began in the last skill game's endgame where he A) figured out that Peridot and Emerald had been in his memory of the warehouse Mukuro "died" in and B) was told by Asuka that nobody had believed he could want things for his team. And later that evening Devin came over specifically to try to cheer him up! There was really nothing at all in the conversation that Dera could latch onto as a trap except in a really, really paranoid "He is lulling me into a false sense of security!!1" kind of way. And Devin seemed to think he was crazy for thinking Devin thought poorly of his feelings towards Ruby which was another point in his favor! Basically it just seemed like such an honest reaction at a point when he was still sensitive to the subject that it was able to somewhat overcome Dera's initial impression that Devin is an affront unto all things.

He doesn't really like him yet, but he doesn't dislike him anymore either. But he thinks the rest of Aather has this horrible opinion of him, and he doesn't want the burden of that kind of dislike to fall on Ruby because of him so his concious reason for dealing with Devin is because more friends = better time in bad games for Ruby! But really he's begun to enjoy talking to him because they are both fanboys of all things paranormal and awesome. :B FINALLY HAVE A THING IN COMMON!!!

Does Elliot have an impression of Yayoi yet :|a If it's the same as with Ikki I will replace this with WHAT MADE YOU LOVE ELLIOT

Nothing very strong. A new guy who didn't piss him off and understands the value of names! Generally positive. Elliot also thinks it is good he arrived with his sister so neither of them are alone. Since he is one of the few people Elliot really 'recognizes' he will make a point to check up on him in a knight-like capacity if he sees him around.

So far pretty good! Elliot didn't try to sugarcoat anything and was generally upfront and honest and Ikki appreciated that a lot. Also UNDERSTOOD THE IMPORTANCE OF FAMILY and really, he didn't annoy Ikki or piss him off (directed at him anyway) and it was generally a really good first impression. He'll probably seek Elliot out as opposed to other knights for knightly things.

SUGATA'S TRU FEELINGS ON WAKO BEIN' HERE

HIS TRUE FEELINGS ARE PRETTY MIXED, leaaaaning negative except for whenever he is actually around wako and then it is like WAKO IS HERE ♥ and he leans positive instead.

On one hand, Sugata has no real positive feelings toward the island or his home so there isn't a sense of 'Wako belongs there and not here'. If not for the danger games Sugata would be TOTES FINE with Wako in Aather!

On the other hand, there are danger games and the idea of Wako dying like. Breaks something. Inside him. And he tries not to think about it but his auto reaction is I WILL RUIN EVERYTHING I HAVE HERE IN ORDER TO PREVENT THAT and it is not. A thought he likes. Because he really LIKES what he has here! For the first time in Sugata's life he has more than one focus than Wako. But Wako is still PRIORITY over all other priorities and it is a problem. Wako being here is not only a danger to Wako but a danger to everyone who he cares about who he would sacrifice FOR her, and... a danger to the nice things he has made for himself.

FINALLY. While Sugata is happy to be around her, it isn't really necessary for him. It is an ADDED BONUS, but Wako is as much of an ideal as a person to him. He revolves around her, and he can do that no matter where she is. Granted, there isn't ANYONE Sugata couldn't function without, but Wako is the only person who he needs to be okay. Where she is doesn't matter \o/ As long as she is okay. Her feelings on him don't matter, as long as she is okay. He doesn't have a lot of memories of her but since he got back her birthday memory it sealed that sense of 'I have looked out for her my entire life and SHE NEEDS TO BE OKAY' pretty solidly in him.

So yes in short basically IT IS DANGEROUS SHE SHOULD GO HOME BUT IT IS NICE TO SEE HER 8|;; I HOPE I DON'T HAVE TO KILL MY TEAM TO PROTECT HER ONE DAY I WOULD FEEL SUPER LOUSY ABOUT IT.

Breeaaak's feelings on Reim.

CONFUSION. EVERYONE KEEPS USING THE F WORD AND IT IS BAD 8( Break has a sort of auto oohhh noooo at friends. He also doesn't remember Reim -- though he does know the name -- and it is weird because Break remembers everyone!11 so far. (He doesn't know Vincent is here either so :"|) and it is just ONE MORE PERSON TO KEEP TRACK OF AND rrrgghhh. But it is mostly. W...what do. Why is it so angry at me. I assume this will change drastically after Reim yells at him after memories 8| s-sigh. Because it isn't that he DOUBTS Reim so much as there isn't anything that says BELIEVE THIS PERSON IS URRR FRIENNNDDD so he's ambiv.

Has anything changed for Mukuho and Luke :|?

UNLESS WE ARE TALKING ABOUT HOW I AM NOT GOING TO TALK WITH YOU ABOUT HOW KAWORU AND I HAD HANDJOBS IN THE FOREST. NO NOT REALLY. We should probably hang out more.

But in SHORTISH Luke mostly thinks Crusade is pretty great if kind of weird and he is glad to have someone sane on his team \o/ he doesn't feel very close to him but he recognizes Crusade's value pretty highly.

Do you have any established headcanon on Elly's feelings re: his blood-siblings and/or the Nightray's position as the sort of questionable "we don't really talk about them" House of the four?

Hmmm!

I think Elliot's feelings on FAMILY probably override his straight-arrow nature more than anything else. If there is anything he is MORE OF than a jesus tsundere, it is a MOTHERFUCKING NIGHTRAY. In Elliot's flashbacks there are multiple occasions of Ernest being a dick, and presumably all of the Nightray kids were entitled little snots to an extent. But Elliot never seems to be outraged by it the way he would be if it was someone else doing the EXACT SAME THING to a total stranger. I assume it comes down to fact that... it's his family! And he grew up around it! And he had to learn... around it, and subsequently always had a bit of a blind spot when it came to his family. Now, I think, older, he is pretty aware of it. But at the same time sort of *handwave* overlooks it or accepts it or feels helpless to stop it. I think the reason he so desperately wanted someone like Reo is because as much as Elliot is always honest to BASICALLY EVERYONE in canon, I don't think he was that way with his family. I think he squashed down his feelings MANY MANY TIMES to account for family, society, and the desperate need to be accepted by his father.

So basically. Elliot knew the Nightrays were jerks but mentally downplayed it because lol family and also big brothers .////. land being a child who DOES want acceptance and sharing with them the unique feeling of being ostracised from the rest of the world so REALLY THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO CAN UNDERSTAND THE FEELINGS OF THE NIGHTRAYS ARE THE NIGHTRAYS THEMSELVES!!1! etc. But despite still probably having one of the best childhoods of anyone in the series next to maybe Sharon, he was still very much a kid and had kid problems and he needed a TRUE FRIEND more than anything because his family gave him huge ass complexes even if he would never say it like that or eve recognize it like that.

AS FOR WHY DO WE HATE THE NIGHTRAY'S. Lotti says in Elliot's most recent memory that she would rather not hurt kids of the Nightray family, suggesting that a positive connection to the Baskervilles did indeed exist, if even totally psycho Lotti would consider sparing them based on their name alone. I imagine it must've been a KNOWN FACT that the Baskerville's and Nightrays were pals when Sablier happened? And perhaps they just got blamed by extension. With the Baskervilles disappeared SOMEONE had to be the scapegoat, and I imagine that weight just fell on the Nightray's regardless of if they had any connection at all.

HOWEVER. THIS IS MOCHIZUKI WE ARE TALKING ABOUT SO IT IS PROBABLY NOT EVEN REMOTELY THAT SIMPLE.

Jacuzzi is like... Ruby's mascot. Moreso than the duck, somehow. Luke doesn't actually think Jacuzzi is USELESS or anything, but I guess because the haven't had a lot of talks, his defining personality trait is still that he cries. Like the rest of Ruby, Luke really wants to protect Jacuzzi! And he values him, but it's more by definition of team than individual.

Tide likes Beatrice! Very genuinely. But it's... Tide so in a way that only counts for so much. He likes the way she is kind of honest about what she is, even though she is clearly a bit crazy. He IS more convinced that she is crazy and possibly dangerous and he will never get close to her beyond a certain degree because she represents a potential threat to his team. But in the mean time he is entirely content to hang out with her and act as a confident, and if that helps her at all or endears amethyst to her it is bonus points!

TIDE LOVES JULIET CUZ SHE IS ON AMETHYST. They haven't really talked enough for him to know more of her than that, but that is fine cuz Tide doesn't really look for a connection! He tries to basically understand who they are, where their priorities lie and such, and be a good teammate for them. More than that isn't really necessary and prooobably won't happen for a little just cuz Tide is terrible at that stuff.
