SO! I have a shiny third character who I have been wanting forever, one of my canons just ended, and all around every thread I have had lately is PURE GOLD. Also I haven't done this in at least a month!!

Do you have any established headcanon on Elly's feelings re: his blood-siblings and/or the Nightray's position as the sort of questionable "we don't really talk about them" House of the four?

Hmmm!

I think Elliot's feelings on FAMILY probably override his straight-arrow nature more than anything else. If there is anything he is MORE OF than a jesus tsundere, it is a MOTHERFUCKING NIGHTRAY. In Elliot's flashbacks there are multiple occasions of Ernest being a dick, and presumably all of the Nightray kids were entitled little snots to an extent. But Elliot never seems to be outraged by it the way he would be if it was someone else doing the EXACT SAME THING to a total stranger. I assume it comes down to fact that... it's his family! And he grew up around it! And he had to learn... around it, and subsequently always had a bit of a blind spot when it came to his family. Now, I think, older, he is pretty aware of it. But at the same time sort of *handwave* overlooks it or accepts it or feels helpless to stop it. I think the reason he so desperately wanted someone like Reo is because as much as Elliot is always honest to BASICALLY EVERYONE in canon, I don't think he was that way with his family. I think he squashed down his feelings MANY MANY TIMES to account for family, society, and the desperate need to be accepted by his father.

So basically. Elliot knew the Nightrays were jerks but mentally downplayed it because lol family and also big brothers .////. land being a child who DOES want acceptance and sharing with them the unique feeling of being ostracised from the rest of the world so REALLY THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO CAN UNDERSTAND THE FEELINGS OF THE NIGHTRAYS ARE THE NIGHTRAYS THEMSELVES!!1! etc. But despite still probably having one of the best childhoods of anyone in the series next to maybe Sharon, he was still very much a kid and had kid problems and he needed a TRUE FRIEND more than anything because his family gave him huge ass complexes even if he would never say it like that or eve recognize it like that.

AS FOR WHY DO WE HATE THE NIGHTRAY'S. Lotti says in Elliot's most recent memory that she would rather not hurt kids of the Nightray family, suggesting that a positive connection to the Baskervilles did indeed exist, if even totally psycho Lotti would consider sparing them based on their name alone. I imagine it must've been a KNOWN FACT that the Baskerville's and Nightrays were pals when Sablier happened? And perhaps they just got blamed by extension. With the Baskervilles disappeared SOMEONE had to be the scapegoat, and I imagine that weight just fell on the Nightray's regardless of if they had any connection at all.

HOWEVER. THIS IS MOCHIZUKI WE ARE TALKING ABOUT SO IT IS PROBABLY NOT EVEN REMOTELY THAT SIMPLE.

Shaarron's feelings on Break and Tide's relationship as she understands it? =|a I noticed she had some interesting thoughts last time they talked.

Nothing is ever simple with Mochizuki and I love ittttt.

Sharon is--well on her core level she is a young woman, not a little girl, so she has a more mature understanding of why the people she apparently knew so well back home have formed different bonds here in Aather, but deep down in her little-girl heart she a little bit sad that she is not on the same team as Break. I have rolled with the fact that her one solid memory of him had some affectionate exasperation too, because "oh dear it is Break being silly again, haha oh him" and--she also takes the idea of being a "master" to someone's "servant" very seriously! Sharon at this point believes strongly in equality of life, so if it is a servant's duty to serve the master, it is the master's duty in turn to protect the servant! ... and she can't do that, when she's on a separate team from him!

HENCE: TIDE. Out of all the people she's met in Aather, Tide and Sion are the only two that she kind of gets a similar vibe of knowing what it's like to command others--she's not in the leader role of Kunzite by a long shot, but she is a lady and she is accustomed to being served! So Tide puts her a bit at ease because she feels like he does understand that, and that even if his methods are perhaps not quite the same as hers, the fact that Break refers to him as a "Lord" means that Break has accepted this bond with him, and therefore Tide (being a nice and sensible boy) must be fulfilling his side of this master-servant contract. She doesn't have a lot of her memories of Break back yet (and none of the cute little implied moments when he was more of an older brother than a servant when she was young), so she doesn't actually have a clear idea of what Break did for her--just that he was important, and so he needs someone who will think of him the same way. And since Tide is who Break has chosen, she will accept that and be happy for him. (Even though she does still wish there was some way they could all be on the same team, with everyone, because Break is sort of her anchor and that which a lot of her world revolves around.)

SOMEONE ASKED ABOUT WAKO, BUT I WILL DO THE SAME! Does Tide sort of get more of Break's D| feelings when Sharon showed up, now that Wako has?

He actually got Break's D| feelings pretty well at the time. Because he was already thinking of Sharon as Break's Wako, even if the relationship is different, it's the only comparison Sugata has for "girl who gives me nice feelings and totally unbalances my priorities by existing". It's why he pushed playing Kunzite second in Three's game. He caaan't put her above Amethyst but he'll put her as close them as possible, because Break is Sugata's most important non-Wako person and thus Sharon's safety is more important than Break's.

Now that Wako has arrived... it hasn't changed those feelings? But it has kind of strengthened them, only also reduced them because everything got MOVED DOWN SEVERAL PEGS in his priority list by Wako arriving. So it's like 'oh this is a lot more frightening than I thought' but also 'i am busy feeling too many things to think about that'.

So how upset would Sharon be if ever caught Break trying to prioritize her over his team in a danger game.

Sheeeeee would be reasonably upset, but at the same time relatively understanding--she hadn't remembered Break by the time Three's game came around, but he and other people on Amethyst had been super-nice to her, to the point where at that time, after her own team, she knew and liked more people on Amethyst than any other! And if it came down to it, she would do the same, though she'd try her very hardest to put them on equal priority. IF POSSIBLE, SHARON TRIES TO BALANCE THINGS! But she also understands that on her own instinctive level, she'd do her best to put Break as far first as possible.

So she'd be upset but she wouldn't be mad, and she'd probably make him go on a quest for gifts to apologize to everyone on his team, but she wouldn't like ... DANGERSMILE or HARISEN!! or SHUN or any of the other ways she'd tsun at him.

YES WE SURE SHOULD DO THAT we can discuss tactics and trade off making him feel terrible/take care of himself chores.

Is Allen going to find Tide and ask him to teach him how to swim.

Nnnnot on his own, no--for one thing, all he knows about Tide is that he's 1) on Amethyst and 2) he's someone Souya likes?? BUT SOUYA SEEMS TO LIKE A LOT OF PEOPLE SO W/E CANDYKNIGHT WE'LL JUST MUG YOU FOR YOUR FOOD LATER 9_9 "What does he even look like, ffffff, maybe if I wait it out long enough everyone will forget and I won't have to do this!1" The other thing is that he has some distrust about the water, since his starter memory has given him lingering Arm Issues that he's kind of working his way through on his own.

Also then Sion went and did his KNIGHT ASCENSION! thing to Onyx, so it's just honestly slipped his mind. He may remember it later and be side-eyed, but again, sort of hoping people will forget it.
