Luke: LUKE HAD SOME INSIGHT ABOUT OZ when talking to Souya! Mainly he figured out that yah, Oz kind of sucks at people and probably doesn't mean a lot of what he says. Even though Luke can't DESCRIBE IT in that much detail, he means 'doesn't mean it' in the sense of 'doesn't empathize' more than 'is lying or insincere'. So he translates it more as having trouble with connecting with people or caring about them. SOUYA SAW IT AS MUCH WORSE, but to Dawn it was just like... well even if he DOES have trouble with that, he still tries really hard! So in a way it actually increased Dawn's respect for him. Dawn doesn't want or expect anyone to automatically care for him, or Ruby in general really. What stands out to him is 'Oz is trying' and not 'Oz sucks at people'.

OTHERWISE nothin' really. Dawn isn't very close to him but regards him as important due to being ruby.

Elliot!: Has just slotted Oz in an uncomplicated position as his friend. And that's sort of all it is. IT'S A GOOD AND IMPORTANT THING but he has learned enough about his life that his confused Oz feelings have all faded away to into just 'yah i guess he's my bro whatevwhatev'. HE ISN'T LOOKING FORWARD TO EXPLAINING (AND LYING ABOUT...) HOW HE DIED THO so he is just like. hoping oz forgets to ask...

For Dawn!1 Oz is in an unsure place with him. For a while he just assumed that he and Dawn saw eye to eye on things in regards to the team and that Dawn was someone that he could to a certain degree rely on to be a voice of reason in tense game situations. Dawn often winds up falling on the same side as Oz in arguments of compassion or self-sacrifice and Oz notices this, so in terms of the epic Ruby reconstruction project from Oz's end he kind of assumed that he wouldn't need to do much work for Dawn because he felt that they understood each other and were on the same page. However, with the whole lack of touch issue he realized that he'd been turning a blind eye to Dawn in a way that actually was creating a rift between them in terms of trust and being trusted. So while his general How Does I Dera and How Does I Mukuro are a lot bigger concerns he's realized that there is also a secondary How Does I Luke issue that needs to be addressed.

Elliot!1 For Oz as well there is a pretty firmly laid foundation of WE ARE BROS. Though I think that Oz needs to work a bit to actually open up about his problems around Elliot more because I think Elliot is the last remaining person around whom Oz still strongly carries a sense of "must not disappoint." But I am sure that will come out soon because he's a lot better about being honest when he's upset or having problems lately. Also Oz is doing somewhat better in terms of coping with Elliot's death right now, actually. Mostly because he talked to Fon and a lot of other people about it, but he does still want to talk to Elliot himself. Because for all that he knows that Elliot is alive now and can probably continue to live on in Aather even after they save the world, he still wants to know what happened because the thought of someone like Elliot having an illegal contract is a bit difficult to wrap his mind around.

What would Elliot do if he was offered an estate in Aather after the world is saved?
