I TOTALLY DIDN'T JUST SPEND 30 MINUTES REMINISCING IN IRC INSTEAD OF DOING ANYTHING PRODUCTIVE

Elliot is good! Ish. Uhm. Elliot is shelving a lot of issues until he has solutions? 8D? He had an ILLUMINATING THREAD with Mukuro about the fact that sometimes family is awful, combined with Vince being like YOU MAY HAVE MURDERED YOUR SISTER his family foundations are feeling very shaken. I need to get him to more games because he is very motivated to win memories right now but lol i love playing with ruby and peridot so much =x

But yeah his foundations are a little shaken, but he is being super elliot about the whole thing and just marching on keeping a wary eye but not crumbling over it when he only has half information.

He feels a LOT BETTER about his family in Aather though. Accepting the fact that Gil and Vince have flaws but do care about him and are still his family helped center him a lot. Yelling at Gil about THIS IS HOW THE FUTURE WILL GO helped him feel stronger about it personally. And that is why I say 'Elliot is okay' despite the fact that some things have ACTUALLY BE HORRIBLE ENOUGH to shake his sense of 'family', because HIS family, HERE, is behaving in a way he has decided is acceptable of family and they are HIS and that at least is secure and as long as he has that he can handle anything \o/

Dawn likes Vriska! She is crazy! that helps. luke likes crazies (IDK...)

But she is (from his pov) honest and straight forward. he doesn't mind that she is kind of an egotist cuz whatever. She is just very good PARTY MATERIAL because he could banter with her easily and also talk with her seriously and is a pretty interesting person! He does genuinely consider himself Citrine's ally because of what she said and would avoid hurting her in games if possible =x

VRISKA LIKES RUBY??? Well okay Vriska likes Mukuro which, because she has a tendency to generalise sometimes, translates to OVERALL POSITIVE feelings of alliance with Ruby, which means that any subsequent Rubies start juuuust slightly further up on Vriska's scale of like than they otherwise normally would.

As for Luke as an idividual, she's... MOSTLY (UNSURE)?? Like. He seems kind of dumb! And quick to judge. (Not that she can talk.) But for all that he has also demonstrated a willingness to talk things out and listen and ask questions. Which is good! But he seems kind of weak :x?!?! Though Vriska is starting to come to accept this as ... normal for humans?? So she's stopped commenting on it and feeling like it's her business to fix it (unless they're on her team).

Vriska doesn't give a fuck about Lucifer either. EXCELLENT. WE CAN GIVE NO FUCKS TOGETHER.

First impressions for Yukio? Luke and Lucifer both.

Luke: Mostly that you fit in pretty smoothly so far. Acedia didn't try to stab you, Wrath isn't mad at you, you obviously are getting along well with Konatsu. He assumes Acedia has trolled you a little bit and you haven't thrown up your hands. THE FIRST TEST EVERY RUBY FACES IS ONE OF DURABILITY and Senash is doing well.

Otherwise, nooot a lot? Even though Dawn has told Senash very personal things, they aren't really things he hides. He trusts that Senash really won't tell anyone about the mirror and that would be his only concern. Even though he suggested that Senash reconcile with Lucifer, it wasn't an outcome he was emotionally invested in! (Overall Dawn is a lot more personally reserved than Luke was). It was his advice, and he still stands beside it. But when Senash was like I SEE MY FATHER DYING IN FIRE he wasn't... surprised or offended or bothered, because uhm. His boyfriend is Mukuro (unsure). His tolerance for HORRIBLE THINGS is pretty much off the charts, and he thinks about stuff like revenge and justice a lot lately, so even though he lacks any personal desire for revenge, as a concept he doesn't have trouble understanding or anticipating it. So basically! It made sense, and Senash didn't seem troubled by it so Dawn wasn't either.

BASICALLY YOU SEEM LIKE A NICE CHILL GUY HE HOPES YOU STICK AROUND but beyond Dawn's typical jesusness not much personal emotional investment yet. WE'LL SEE IF YOU NEED HUGS FIRST TIME YOU GET A SIG NEG.

Lucifer: Yukio is interesting! And somewhat more comprehensible to him than most humans, since he doesn't seem to go for nice, and seems to largely consider himself outside of others.

The main reason for Lucifer's interest though has less to do with Yukio, and just more to do with the way stuff has JUST HAPPENED regarding AS/Aono timeline confusion, and Lucifer's memories. Lucifer has several memories of having FEELINGS FOR HIS FATHER, feelings for others, feelings in general! So a guy who NORMALLY DOES NOT GIVE TWO FUCKS ABOUT FAMILY (And didn't when he first met Rin) now has an active interest in the concept. He is more like a kid digging at an anthill with a stick than yanno, a lost soul looking for love. But it IS a thing he is curious about and willing to put some effort into understanding. And while he doesn't genuinely consider Yukio or Rin his children, the confusion lead to them being the closet thing he has, at a time when he actively thinks on this quite a bit. Since the are ALSO interested in him, it's basically a good way to observe them and he will try to keep track of them and probably ask them questions about family and stuff =|a ALSO BEING LUCIFER/KIRA he will be a sort of backhanded good influence, in the sense where he will poke you in your buttons until you stop being stupid.

Uuuuh PERSONAL OPINION just is really 'kind of interesting, not bad conversation'. But he was, for the record, being honest about the friend thing. He is equally aware that Yukio probably isn't, and as soon as his emotions come into play any concept of friend will be forfeited. HOWEVER, since Lucifer doesn't understand things like mercy, empathy, or kindness, there are no significant benefits to being his friend, and he realizes it sort of balances out \=D/; Basically he will answer Yukio's questions, look out for him in an EXTREMELY roundabout manner, and... those are the only real benefits you get. Until of course Lucifer regains more feelings and actually cares about you idk.

I CAN'T REMEMBER THE LAST TIME I DID ONE OF THESE but it's basically the same as that only now Elliot knows that Yayoi ONCE HAD A CRUSH ON HIM but probably doesn't anymore \=D/; OR SO HE HAS TOLD HIMSELF SO HE CAN JUST COMFORTABLY IGNORE IT...

Basically IDK. Elliot is actually very fond of Yayoi in his way, he just occasionally doesn't know how to deal with her. And he wouldn't have any idea what to do ABOUT her having a crush on him, because he genuinely doesn't think he is in a proper place in his life to court a woman, and he... can't understand it in any other context. He's happier being platonic because it is less confusing! But she is still definitely one of his favorite people in Aather and would do just about anything for her. He 100% regards her as an equal in a general sort of way, but he doesn't think her place is fighting or being injured for others, so he will prevent that from happening at just about any cost.

He has no particular desires of her or anything, yayoi is just yayoi =|a

Luke: LUKE HAD SOME INSIGHT ABOUT OZ when talking to Souya! Mainly he figured out that yah, Oz kind of sucks at people and probably doesn't mean a lot of what he says. Even though Luke can't DESCRIBE IT in that much detail, he means 'doesn't mean it' in the sense of 'doesn't empathize' more than 'is lying or insincere'. So he translates it more as having trouble with connecting with people or caring about them. SOUYA SAW IT AS MUCH WORSE, but to Dawn it was just like... well even if he DOES have trouble with that, he still tries really hard! So in a way it actually increased Dawn's respect for him. Dawn doesn't want or expect anyone to automatically care for him, or Ruby in general really. What stands out to him is 'Oz is trying' and not 'Oz sucks at people'.

OTHERWISE nothin' really. Dawn isn't very close to him but regards him as important due to being ruby.

Elliot!: Has just slotted Oz in an uncomplicated position as his friend. And that's sort of all it is. IT'S A GOOD AND IMPORTANT THING but he has learned enough about his life that his confused Oz feelings have all faded away to into just 'yah i guess he's my bro whatevwhatev'. HE ISN'T LOOKING FORWARD TO EXPLAINING (AND LYING ABOUT...) HOW HE DIED THO so he is just like. hoping oz forgets to ask...

For Dawn!1 Oz is in an unsure place with him. For a while he just assumed that he and Dawn saw eye to eye on things in regards to the team and that Dawn was someone that he could to a certain degree rely on to be a voice of reason in tense game situations. Dawn often winds up falling on the same side as Oz in arguments of compassion or self-sacrifice and Oz notices this, so in terms of the epic Ruby reconstruction project from Oz's end he kind of assumed that he wouldn't need to do much work for Dawn because he felt that they understood each other and were on the same page. However, with the whole lack of touch issue he realized that he'd been turning a blind eye to Dawn in a way that actually was creating a rift between them in terms of trust and being trusted. So while his general How Does I Dera and How Does I Mukuro are a lot bigger concerns he's realized that there is also a secondary How Does I Luke issue that needs to be addressed.

Elliot!1 For Oz as well there is a pretty firmly laid foundation of WE ARE BROS. Though I think that Oz needs to work a bit to actually open up about his problems around Elliot more because I think Elliot is the last remaining person around whom Oz still strongly carries a sense of "must not disappoint." But I am sure that will come out soon because he's a lot better about being honest when he's upset or having problems lately. Also Oz is doing somewhat better in terms of coping with Elliot's death right now, actually. Mostly because he talked to Fon and a lot of other people about it, but he does still want to talk to Elliot himself. Because for all that he knows that Elliot is alive now and can probably continue to live on in Aather even after they save the world, he still wants to know what happened because the thought of someone like Elliot having an illegal contract is a bit difficult to wrap his mind around.

What would Elliot do if he was offered an estate in Aather after the world is saved?

LUCIFER: basically the same! bluh bluh loyal minion, ranges between useful and amusing. one of lucifer's favorite people for the usefulness factor. Has no complex thoughts, but does value Souya's input on HUMAN MATTERS he has difficulty grasping. When he has enough memories back he will hit a point of fondly abusing the fuck out of Souya and you will sincerely regret ever knowing him.

LUKE: Now pretty comfortable with Souya! As I mentioned... somewhere. Luke has realized Souya is himself rather crazy. Not like as crazy as SOME PEOPLE. But when he was like I REMEMBER ACEDIA TORTURING AND CRUSHING AND MURDERING PEOPLE and Souya's reaction was 'o rite lol i forget Acedia is a jerk' Dawn was just like .......oh. SUDDENLY EVERYTHING MAKES MORE SENSE. He knows how to deal with crazy people though \o/ He's not really offended or bothered it's just like NTS: OKAY SO SOUYA AND ACEDIA IS TOTALLY NUTS. He feels comfortable with being honest and even a little bratty with Souya, and with Souya being kinda jerky back to him, so while he isn't necessarily fond of Souya, and doesn't consider him a friend, he does like talking to him and is okay with relying on him.

SO LIKE. IT IS JUST A FACT OF LIFE THAT LUKE GRAVITATES TOWARD BAD DECISIONS FOR HIS MENTORS. First Van, then Jade, now you... He also yes, totally has Stockholmes for abuser types. Noooot that Raven is abusive, but he does think Dawn is worthless (oor so Dawn assumes) and that is like a HUGE DEAL FOR DAWN but none-the-less it's one of the reasons Dawn gravitates toward Nii \=D/; yes idk boy has problems.

However, he does genuinely care for Nii, AS HE DOES. He's worried about him being upset because of Koumyou being gone. Not because he might be DANGEROUS, but simply because Raven has such a hard time with people and so to lose the one person you really feel something for sounds just fucking awful 8''(

So yes, genuine empathy for the guy WHILE BEING FULLY AWARE that Nii doesn't give a shit about him and having zero expectations for that to change.

THAT SAID. Dawn acts on... how things are and not how he assumes things are? If that makes sense? IN FACT, Nii is always nice to him, patient, helpful, he ISN'T abusive, or dangerous, and Dawn is oblivious to any notes of skeeviness. While he thinks Nii was in the WRONG to go into Acedia's heart and fuck shit up, he also knows Dawn probably did more damage, and he thinks the trouble that came out of the fiasco was more than enough 'pay back' so he holds no grudge or concerns at all. I mean like, if there is another heartgame Luke will stick with Nii so it doesn't repeat, lol. It's not a thing Luke trusts Nii with! But he's not like...mad... or worried really.

DAWN TRUSTS NII WHICH IS ALSO PRETTY LOLARIOUS but even though he knows Nii wouldn't CARE about hurting him, he also doesn't think Nii has any desire to hurt him! He would totally fight him to help relieve stress =|b And he would do it assuming that even if Nii could kick his ass he wouldn't kill or seriously mangle him. If Nii DID seriously mangle him he woudln't actually be surprised tho (cuz again, no self worth, guy who thinks he has no worth). He would be surprised if he got killed but mostly because it's a lot of trouble over nothing and Nii isn't really the type0 to initiate it.

SO BASICALLY BLUHBLUH Dawn is pretty comfortable with Nii, likes, cares for, and appreciates him, but DOESN'T think that he is in some way special or that Nii has any real fondness for him. He ranges between thinking he understands Nii kind of well and not so well, but has no deep thoughts on the matter. To him their interactions are very harmless and uncalculated and he has no real objectives beyond 'hay raven wassup'.

ACTUAL HAVING FEELINGS not a lot. He has acquired 'fondness', which he isn't quite aware of. But it's a step above 'amused' or 'interested'. He also now feels 'curiosity' a lot more, and is developing 'annoyance'.

Feelings he REMEMBERS are powerful things like love, regret, contentment, family. Buuut he doesn't feel those yet, he is just aware of them in a slightly more than textbook fashion.

SOTU IN GENERAL he is pretty cool. Since he KEEPS GETTING BACK KIRA MEMORIES, and since Kira was a part of himself that was happy and independent and selfish in his own way, Lucifer can't find fault with that part of himself, so he hasn't decided to reject it. But he haasss kind of shelved it, because connecting with Kira is kind of beyond him still. He does realize that if he KEEPS getting Kira memories over Lucifer ones, he will transform more in that direction. BUT since he hasn't decided to reject Kira he isn't really bothered by this. BASICALLY HE WANTS ALL OF HIS MEMORIES BACK AND OBVS THEY WILL PROBABLY AFFECT HIM and if he decides he doesn't LIKE those effects he will deal with it then.
