Well. it would be a lie to say we didn't hope for it, but I don't think we guessed it would go to this level. Ten and I had a TON OF FUN as Asch and Luke in CFUD, and wanted to try and get that back a little. But the problem with Asch in canon is his issues are just SO HUGE, it would take YEARSsss...

Honestly, what we were EXPECTING was more like, they will think they are brothers and grow close, then Asch will remember he hates Luke's guts and it will all blow apart and Luke will be heart broken OR Asch won't ruin it and they will keep being brothers. I don't think either of us anticipated like CRAZY LEVELS OF CODEPENDENCY AND KIND OF BEING OBSESSIVE and they... are getting closer and closer to REALLY being just a half of each other, which is funny because despite their dramatic connection and feelings toward each other in canon, Luke and Asch ALWAYS moved away from each other. Luke gradually become more independent, and Asch had to come to accepting that Luke is not him, even if Luke is his replica. In Aather they started pretty separately but are becoming closer and closer. Right now it is not totally insane and I doubt they will ever start talking in unison or anything, but at this point I won't be surprised if their identities become so intertwined they can't really cope without knowing the other is at least OKAY and NOT VERY FAR.

And no we didn't really work toward it, either. It's just, Luke fon Fabre has a naturally obsessive personality. Asch obsessed over Luke and Natalia and Kimlasca and stopping Van and those were his GOALS1!!!1 that defined him. Luke obsessed over Van and Asch and his personal identity and Akzeriuth. But in Aather they both lost mooost of those things and now they just have each other to obsess over 8'D (IT'S VERY CUTE, IT IS PROBABLY NOT ACTUALLY HEALTHY)

Zack is Zack, really. It takes a lot to phase him, and I kind of REGRET PLAYING IN THE HEART GAME WITH HIM even though I know I would've died horribly from trying to run a heart and play him at the same time, but man he doesn't like Dream :'D And idk, he just learned Dawn is dead from Guy?? But I can't really say much else about it 'cuz the thread's still going.

ALL IN ALL THOUGH he's in a good spot right now, and it's been pretty steady which is something NEW and he's just. Rolling with it. HE DID NETTED LION'S THING, GOT FREAKED OUT A LITTLE but seriously who wouldn't freak out after finding that shit at the bottom of the pool. But yeah, that didn't really traumatize him too much, so.

Does Elliot still think Zack is a MANWHORE or whatever the word was, and will he ever call Zack on it :V
