Souya is really not a bad guy, but he's pretty far from being a Jesusy sort. SO WITH THIS IN MIND, he is very protective of the people he cares about, he is also very, very biased. After a point he ultimately doesn't care who's in the right, if one of his people got hurt then whoever did the hurting sucks.

So, Oz hurt Acedia, THIS WAS ACTUALLY NOT THAT MUCH OF AN ISSUE, he didn't even know it had been Oz until Luke told him, but it didn't matter, he'd figured it had been either Oz or Konatsu because they're the newest ones and thus wouldn't have much of an idea of how to deal with Acedia, so he rolled with it, he was working on it with Acedia and things were going to get fixed, but then suddenly Acedia was acting like a completely different person \o/

Learning it had been Luke of all people to go and finish breaking what Oz had started just ide, he was :/ because he thought Luke wouldn't, his reasoning only made him angrier "I WON'T LIE TO HIM EVEN IF THE TRUTH WOULD BREAK HIM AND TURN HIM INTO SOMEONE COMPLETELY UNRECOGNIZABLE" he also thinks Luke is kind of blind because he wouldn't care about Acedia if Acedia wasn't Ruby, the only reason they're close to begin with is because they both woke up at around the same time wearing the same colors.

ALSO, MUCH LIKE WRATH, he doesn't think people ever make an effort to understand Acedia. They just sort of talk at him and try to impose their views on them without ever trying to look at things from his side, so he acts like an asshole when people make Acedia responsible for things, because even though Acedia is sometimes 100% at fault, he is also CRAZY and you can't hold him to the same standards as other people or apply normal people morals to him, because Acedia doesn't understand it like that, so going "HE DID A THING THAT WAS WRONG" is ultimately useless.

TL;DR SOUYA IS AN OVERPROTECTIVE SOCCER MOM. DON'T BULLY MY SON EVEN THOUGH HE KICKED YOU IN THE FACE AND STOLE YOUR CANDY.

First impressions on new kids are below.


SO THE PROBLEM WITH LUKE HAVING NO SELF WORTH IS HE CAN'T REALLY DEFEND HIMSELF ANYMORE. Because he doesn't really care if people are treating HIM badly. He certainly doesn't like it, and can see where there is no benefit to him (hence calling Souya a jerk and leaving). But he doesn't get like... very defensive, or righteous. He really just wants to focus on the solution and understanding and making things better aspect.

So Souya BLAMING HIM was very hurtful, but... he knows he is stupid, and he knows he doesn't understand Acedia that well. Not for LACK OF TRYING just... stupid and totally 100% the opposite from him. So when Souya is like YOU DID EVERYTHING WRONG he can't say "No I didn't" all he can say is "I did my best". TO LUKE, someone like Acedia does need to be completely broken, THE WAY HE WAS, so that he can eventually rebuild. He does not... think Souya was right, in that Acedia would eventually become a normal sane person who isn't dangerous to anyone. Because A) there is no way Acedia would've gone on forever without finding out HIS WAY OF SEEING RUBY IS NOT THE ONLY WAY RUBY CAN EXIST and B) because he is pretty sure Acedia would continue to be sane for RUBY and not be sane because, hurting people is bad.

TYL but Luke's END GOAL is to get Acedia to understand things the way PEOPLE SHOULD. Because Luke does realize Acedia was tortured for most of his youth and probably never learned. But he doesn't think that makes it impossible for Acedia! To him 'he is crazy so you have to have different expectations' just doesn't fly. Both because that is completely unfair to everyone around the crazy person and because it is unfair of the crazy person to just assume what kinds of limits they have and treat them like they are handicapped.

anyway blahblah he said what he said knowing it would damage Acedia, and he understands that Souya thinks he is wrong. Luke does NOT think he is wrong because he as deeply personal first hand experience, but he does realize maybe it wasn't the only way, maybe it wasn't the right way, maybe what worked for him won't work for Acedia, and basically there are no guarantees. SO if Souya wants to hate him for that it's just like =\; At first he was trying to explain that they wanted the same thing, even if their routes were different, but after the last thing Souya said Luke realized Souya doesn't care about Luke's feelings (or, probably, the feelings of anyone except Acedia in the matter) and thus there was no point in talking about it anymore.

Though Luke definitely QUESTIONS HIS OWN METHODS, he is still very much a focus on the solution person, and so what is done is done, and he will do his best to help Acedia RISE AGAIN1!! But overall he doesn't believe Acedia is as broken as Wrath and Souya are acting. BUT he also realizes they probably don't have experience being utterly shattered, which is in a way exactly WHY Luke can be the cruelest and most demanding of Acedia to become a better person.

BASICALLY LUKE IS SADDER BECAUSE OF THE CONVERSATION and he will probably never initiate a conversation with Souya ever. But he's not upppsett because he is very accepting of bad things, and it doesn't really change anything because Luke was always going to do his best to help and is... going to continue to do exactly that.

Goood too many and he hasn't really bonded with anyone yet.

HE LIKES THE DRAGON because she is like... sort of a caricature to him. So he doesn't mind just sort of, sliding into a comfortable role where he bows his head to her clear awesomeness and thus they get along just fine =O But because of that he has no deep feelings either (also they haven't threaded a lot).

NOTHING REALLY ON ZAZZLE'S YET cuz. again very little threading.

He likes robot! Or whatever Sky is. He's a nice shoujo boy who is adorable and eager and exactly the kind of person Tide likes taking care of.

In the sense of PEOPLE KEEP LEAVING. as long as it isn't Break, heeee's pretty fine with it. Whoops feelings 8|;

Well he's gotten a lot more "stable' for him. Which means his emotions are running around muckily muck and he can take a lot more of people telling him they don't like him/ruby/etc. He's gotten a lot more compulsive lying and in general more Mukuro-y and less Acedia. Which is fine for him cos he's like hey Mukuro is a cool dude solve my problems. HE HAS FIXED HOW HE DEALS WITH OZ COS HE THINKS HE KNOWS OZ'S DEAL NOW. HE FIXED HIS PROBLEM WITH CHARITY. HE WAS REASSURED BY KONATSU. SO I GUESS THE ONLY PROBLEM IS REALLY LOL I'M LEANING TOWARDS MY SOCIOPATHIC MAFIA HATING WORLDESTROYING SELF.

HE LIKED IT A LOT. Except for Alice he thinks Citrine is full of grate dependable people =||| well no. Median was kind of dumb but that's really the only negative impression he got. WHEN LUKE IS DONE HAVING DRAMA I WILL TRY TO MAKE SOCIAL ROUNDS WITH ELLIOT.

Goku liked him a lot! And the way he handled the first thread and the whole "Where's Konzen" thing actually worked out really well, so Goku got a lot of positive impressions from him. sob idk i've been neglecting Tide too badly lately.

OVERALL OKAY? He is kind of sucking at team, but he has also accepted that about himself, as he sort of views his previous efforts as negative helpful and thus by not helping he is at least not doing damage. Also he has become more and more sugata which means Amethyst is less important to him.. SORRY TEAM 8'D He's kind of like Break in that the WINDOW OF WORMING YOUR WAY INTO HIS HEART HAS PASSED and he thinks of team more like classmates than family. He will still be friendly and helpful and will do his best to help Amethyst, but he is no longer obsessive over Amethyst's protection.

SO I GUESS OVERALL he is more at ease but also probably a worse teammate 8|; ON THE OTHER END Since he is going to be more detached with new people than with old, Misato and Ryner still have the ability to make him sincerely worry. Where as the new kids.... lol.

Hmmm. Mostly Elliot feels like that, in knowing Vincent's past, he can understand better Vincent's detachment toward him. Combined with the fact that maybe the Nightrays WEREN'T ALL THAT WELCOMING, and Vincent was apparently treated like a curse for his young life, and it makes more sense that maybe Elliot just never became someone he cares about or trusts. Elliot has thought about it in those exact terms, because he can't really understand 'not caring about family', and to HIM Vincent is 100% family. BUT the way his death went has always troubled Elliot a bit and those pieces add a bit of "oh, I can kind of get it" and because he's Elliot he doesn't really need more than that to shrug his shoulders, nod. and move forward.

He will never bring it up unless it is relevant. He can under that it is shameful and unpleasant and wouldn't ask Vincent or Gilbert to talk about it unless necessary. So he will just kind of be MORE OKAYISH with Vincent? Probably more himself. Buuuut also still somewhat on guard because he doesn't really know where he stands with Vincent himself.

LUKE CONTINUES TO FEEL REALLY DISCONNECTED FROM OZ MOSTLY BECAUSE OZ NEVER SEEMS TO HAVE AN EMOTIONAL REACTION TO ANYTHING but he feels bad for him both because he empathize with 'fuck i fucked up and now no one likes me' and also 'actually this is mostly Acedia's fault for being nuts'. However most of his feelings for Oz have to do with Oz = team which is a sure sign that Luke isn't identifying with him as an individual very well yet.

Oz is actually . . . the same in some ways towards Luke, but from a different angle. He likes Luke because he's team and because Luke's talked to him and helped him out when he was feeling down before. He cares about Luke! Or at least he tells himself he does. But by and large he doesn't have a clear idea of Luke as a person. Though he does want to try and fix that, especially since Mukuro was just picking on him for not really caring about the team which he wants to push against.

LUKE HAS A CRUSH ON JUDITH BECAUSE SHE WAS NICE TO HIM WHEN HE WAS TINY and he thinks she is a bit odd as an adult but is okay with that.

Elliot didn't really get much from her other than that she wants to fight and is kind of whiny. But he can't disapprove of taking sword learning seriously, so she has no negative points.

Uuuuuuuh Nat and Luke 8|; Luke is worried about the Meryl thing and should talk with her more about that but like his life is CONSTANT EMOTIONAL EXPLOSIONS FROM ALL DIRECTIONS so he is bad at going out and FINDING PEOPLE to check on THEIR emotional explosions. He also worries that she might be a bit out of the loop, since she apparently didn't know he was a replica and all and, he was pretty sure surely someone would have told her 8|;; Luke is actually firmly on the side of DON'T LIE TO NATALIA TO PROTECT HER, which is a thing Dusk is prone to doing. But that doesn't necessarily mean he is good at going out there and telling her everything she needs to know. Because lolo his life.

HOW IS JUDITH LIKING AATHER?

JUDITH LIKES AATHER. She is making the best of it. Her feelings on the ~memory loss~ are pretty zen, so that makes her less likely to be like "I HATE THIS PLACE." Granted, her coming in during the kiddie game was probably the best thing for her, because she met so many cute kids, and they didn't seem to mind when she wandered off. Which is a thing she likes doing, though she doesn't really know why. Basically, as long as people allow her to do her own thing, and don't mind that she tends to join in on things more out of curiosity and because she thinks it'll be fun than because of their needs, she's okay with Aather. Likely, her opinions will change but FOR RIGHT NOW, she's cool.
