Memory 14
Getting frustrated at Natalia trying to teach him to read
Taken day 47
There isn't much to say about this one. It is a scene from the anime when Luke is very young (1ish). Natalia is trying to force him to learn to read again when he can barely talk, and he calls her annoying and shoves her away, then looks upset that he actually shoved someone and did something bad. Natalia meanwhile is just happy that Luke finally called her by her name again 8'( But since it is SUCH AN OLD MEMORY Dawn didn't get a lot from it, just that Natalia was trying to make him read and he didn't understand and was upset by her pushiness.

Forcing Asch to talk to Mother and Father again
6:40 to END and START to 4:40

So the anime version of this is a LOT shorter, but I am going with the game version because it contains a lot of important plot moments with more people than Asch. Like the first time (of many) that Guy tells Luke that suicide is for losers. I left out the memories Luke has of other events (like Ion's death) during these scenes.
[Suddenly, Luke get an incoming call. In his brain]
Luke: Owww...
Tear: Luke?
Guy: Lorelei? Or is it...?
Asch: Hey, Replica. Where are you?
L: Asch... we're in...
A: Nevermind. I see it. Baticul.
L: Damn it, first you put your voice in my head, now you're looking through my eyes?!
A: ...I'm close to Baticul, I'll meet you there. Stay in the city.
L: I'll be back in the manor, if you want to come see me there, be my guest.
A: No, head to the port or something.
L: I want to go back to my home!
A: Fine, do what you want!
Anise: What did Asch have to say?
L: He's coming to meet us, I told him I'd be at the manor.
G: The manor? Are you okay with that?
L: Yeah... it's better this way.
[Luke goes back to the manor!]
G: I never thought I'd see you back here.
A: I never thought I'd return.
L: Asch, how is Lorelei?
A: I couldn't make contact. It must be trapped inside Van, unable to communicate.
L: So your search for the Jewel of Lorelei is...
A: Still ongoing. But we know Lorelei passed the Jewel up through the Sephiroth. If you didn't pick it up, it should still be somewhere around the Sephiroth.
Anise: But you searched them didn't you? Did you miss one?
A: I'm not an idiot. You have me confused with someone else here.
L: What are you trying to say?
T: They say the sword and the Jewel react together. You should have found it.
L: If we don't get the Jewel, things are playing right into Van's hands.
A: Damn. And with the miasma, the people are leaning toward the New Order of Lorelei...
L: The miasma... Asch... what if the miasma could be neutralized through a hyperresonance?
A: What are you talking about? That's impossible!
L: Not if you have the Sword of Lorelei! It would cost someone their life, but...
T: Luke, what are you talking about?
Anise: That's the first time I've heard anything like that.
A: So are you saying you're going to die?
G: . . .
L: I... I'm saying...
A: Must be nice for you replicas, being able to say you'd just give it all up like that.
L: ...I don't want to die any more than anyone else.
A: . . .
Hmph, of course you don't. I... I'm not ready to die yet either.
L: W-What!
A: This little chat is over, I've got something to do.
L: I'm not done talking! Just give me ten-- five more minutes!
A: L-Let go of me!
G: Come on, hear him out, Asch.
A: . . .
..Fine.
[Asch has joined the party]
[Luke takes Asch to meet his parents]
Susanne: Luke...? Luke!
Fabre: You're...
A: . . .
L: ...Father, Mother, I've brought the real Luke home.
A: You bastard! What are you planning...
L: We'll be waiting in the court yard.
[Luke and party leave! Head to courtyard]
Anise: I get it, you want Asch to meet up with your parents.
T: But Luke, are you okay with this..? The thought of Asch coming here always made you...
L: Terrified. It still does. But... I'm just a replica... He's real. If I'm going to get told I'm not needed, I'd rather hear it sooner then--...
G: Stop it, Luke.
L: Guy?
G: I thought something was up with you. You've got this stupid idea about killing yourself to stop the miasma, don't you?
Party: ?!?
T: Luke! Don't be an idiot.
G: You keep telling yourself you're just a worthless replica imposter. You keep worrying that you'll be told you're unnecessary. What does that even mean?
L: I've been asking myself ever since I found out I was a replica. Why was I born? Who am I? Why am I alive? I have no right to exist! No replica does!
G: I've heard enough.
[Asch appears]
A: So have I. I'm not Luke anymore. I'm never coming back here. Get over that inferiority complex before you go proposing anything stupid. You're infuriating!
G: ...Luke. Let's get some rest. You've got to be tired...
